Calcot School - New Children's Centre
Christ the King - Classroom extension
The school wished to provide an additional new classroom
and entrance corridor to the front of the school. We designed a feature
extension with gable wall and feature pitched roof with projecting canopy
and simulated lead covering to provide an attractive and interesting
extension to compliment the school. Thermo wood timber cladding was used
in conjunction with facing brickwork and a lead effect roof to give a
visually interesting and smart extension, while complimenting the existing
building. This also allowed an open vaulted ceiling with acoustic suspended
ceiling, to give an attractive open classroom space.
